Most races are added by a commissioner or pulled in from WTRL. Ladder teams are the exception: their captains can create events for their own team from the race calendar.
Where
Open Races. If you captain a ladder team you'll have the option to add an event there.
What you're setting
The same fields a commissioner sees for an event — name, date, start time, and the roster settings that decide the minimum and maximum starters and
bench size. See Races and roster rules for what those settings do, because minimum starters is what blocks a line-up from saving.
Seeing rider availability while you plan
The calendar is also where you check whether anyone will actually be there. The Day view shows every club racing that day with a count of riders set, and each rider's availability feeds it.
