The Roster column reads min starters–max starters / max bench.
Sync WTRL
The sync is manual — you run it, it doesn't run itself.
| Competition | What syncing pulls |
|---|---|
| ZRL | A full season's races in one go. Sync once when the season is published |
| TTT | A rolling four-week window. Re-sync periodically or the calendar runs dry |
⚠️ Put the TTT sync in your routine
Because TTT only reaches four weeks ahead and nothing runs automatically, a club that syncs once at the start will quietly run out of races.
Roster Settings
Every race carries its own, reachable when creating a race or via Edit race → Actions → Roster Settings.
| Setting | What it does |
|---|---|
| Min starters | Hard block. A captain below this number cannot save a line-up at all |
| Max starters | 1 to 100 |
| Max bench | Independent of starters — some events allow a bigger bench than start line |
Minimum starters is a mechanism, not a validation rule
It's what turns "we're a rider short" into a blocked action, which sends a captain to borrow someone. Set it to what the competition actually requires and the borrowing system works on its own.
⚠️ Roster size belongs to the race
Max starters plus max bench is what a captain sees as available spots. Because it's per race, a club's capacity changes as they step between rounds. Keep these consistent across a season unless you mean to vary them.
A note on Division
Division is ZRL time slots, kept from an earlier model and now marked a legacy field. New teams take their slot from the ZRL League setting instead, which is what determines race time. Leave Division alone.
Stage races build themselves

Set Race Type to Event, Event Type to Stage Race, choose a stage interval — daily or weekly — plus start and end dates, and Drafted Racing generates one sub-event per interval, each inheriting the start time.
✅ Before you start typing
A daily stage race from the 16th to the 18th produces three stages automatically. Clubs who don't know this create them one at a time.
Events can be graded by A/B/C/D categories, ladder tiers or racing score — pick the system first, then narrow to specific categories.
