You have a roster in a spreadsheet, a handful of captains, and a season starting soon. The fastest way through is not to type everything yourself.

  1. Sign in and set yourself up as a rider. You'll understand every screen your riders see, and you'll be in the pool yourself.
  2. Turn on club recruiting and send the link to your prospective captains so they create their own accounts.
  3. Create the teams and assign those captains.
  4. Let each captain recruit their own riders using the invite code on their team page.

✅ Why this order

Captains know who's in their squad, what category they ride and whether they'll actually turn up. Handing them the invite code turns one person's data-entry job into six people's five-minute job — and the riders arrive already attached to the right team.

One thing to do before any of it

⚠️ Set your race types first

In Settings, tick the competitions your club actually runs. They gate the options available everywhere else — creating teams, creating races, and what riders can express interest in. Getting this wrong means redoing work.

What about bulk import?

It exists and it's the right tool for a large existing roster — see Bulk import. For a club starting fresh, captains with invite codes usually produce cleaner data faster, because the people entering it know the riders.
