Lending riders

When another captain wants one of your riders, the request appears under the bell icon in the top navigation.

Approve or deny without leaving the page. The heading shows how many are waiting.

What approving actually costs you

Less than it sounds. The rider moves to your bench with an On Loan tag showing where they've gone, and comes back automatically when the race finishes. Nobody has to retrieve them.

A loaned rider still takes a roster spot

Lending someone out doesn't free up space on your squad — they're still counted while away.

Ask them first

⚠️ The decision is entirely yours — which is the problem

Riders aren't notified when they're loaned out and can't decline from inside the app. When you approve, you're committing them on their behalf.

A quick message before you say yes costs nothing and avoids a rider finding out on race night that they're riding for someone else.

Why lend at all

The borrowing system only works because clubs say yes to each other. A club that never lends tends to find requests going unanswered when they're the ones short.
